Iowa, come get your Senator.

Joni Ernst isn’t fighting for Iowa—she’s fighting for Trump’s approval and billionaire donors. So damn condescending.
Against all odds, Joni Ernst has made it worse

The House of Representatives just passed a bill that would make it much harder for millions of people to register to vote.

Tell your Senator to reject this harmful legislation.
Stop the SAVE Act
The SAVE Act would keep millions of people from being able to vote – and would shut countless eligible voters out of our democracy. Urge Congress to vote no now.

The SAVE Act would prevent millions of eligible voters from participating in our democracy, like married women, naturalized citizens, trans people, and people with low incomes.

Tell Congress: Vote NO on this bill and protect our right to vote.

People write to ask how they can help Ukraine. The country's soldiers face renewed attacks from Russia. There is a simple way to make sure that more Ukrainian soldiers survive, and to send a message that we support them: by funding armored evacuation vehicles.

Trump likes being #2, he likes doing the PR work, being in front of the camera, getting the adulation, but serving the boss. Musk will dominate him at home and Putin will dominate him abroad. He will deliver their lines, as he has just done for Putin in shocking fashion, and does for Musk every day.
‘The US Is Doing Russia’s Work’ Say Ecstatic Propagandists

Putin’s mouthpieces are in a lather of excitement over the US administration’s willingness to make a deal to their liking.

The SAVE Act will require voters to provide unnecessary documentation to vote.

This bill would make voting harder for people of color, women, and low-income people — groups of people who already face more difficulties at the polls.

Is Musk demanding the data held by the Social Security Administration in order to make it more efficient? Unlikely. Here's a better explanation:

Today's book recommendation is the first book in the delightful Aru Shah series by Roshani Chokshi.

It's lighthearted, fun, based on Hindu mythology, and written for kids. Just what we need right now I think. 🙃

Trying to figure out how I'd like to use this platform - I have some ideas that are still taking shape. I really didn't want to have yet another social media account but here we are. 🙃 In any case, I'd like this space to be more on the positive side. Stay tuned. 🙂
