Good to hear the union opposes this because this is nonsense. Just raise the salary cap, or get rid of it.

The only part of The Game Awards I wanted to see.
Give it up for Jenny Kidd, the voice of Pauline from Donkey Kong Bananza, singing "Breaking Through!" at The Game Awards!!

Even before the playoff, the vast majority of bowl games have always been glorified exhibitions turned advertising vehicles.

I have been given the shiny and very real War Stopper Award by
USA Pickleball because I have stopped so many dozens of wars and whatnot. I am honored that my war stopping has been noticed by the foremost pickleball organization in the world.

That's pretty good!
The NWSL smashed its all-time single-game TV audience record during its championship game Saturday, drawing an average of more than a million TV viewers for the first time.

Once again, I call on federal agents to target violent criminals, not neighbors walking down the street, going to church, or putting up Christmas decorations. Stop targeting people simply going about their lives because of the color of their skin, as you are doing in Charlotte.

My concern is the NWSL outgrowing the Courage. As in, if the Courage weren't already in the league, Cary would have a hard time getting an expansion team today with the current facility.
This could be an interesting off season for the NC Courage. I cannot stress enough that either massive changes need to happen at the Soccer Park in Cary or a definite plan needs made for new facilities. It's time to level up and keep up with the league (from a facilities standpoint.)

Shame it wasn't enough to earn a playoff spot. See y'all next year!

Sitting at this Buffalo Wild Wings in Morrisville wondering how they can't get ESPN so I can watch the Courage game, which I can't watch at home because of the Disney-YouTube TV dispute.

Whatever people think about the outcome, that entire playoffs was one of the best I’ve ever seen. What an incredible month.

This postseason has been a strong reminder that while the business of baseball right now is extremely frustrating and worrisome, the game itself and the players are the best it’s ever been. Every game has had moments that make you just shake your head that players can be this good.

It's harder to grasp when you're a kid, but over time I've seen that postseason baseball does not and will never determine the best team. The best team might win the World Series, but probably not, and that's OK -- that's what makes it fun (or excruciating if you have a vested interest).
Mainstream baseball analysis basically consists of people pretending to have memories of goldfish and acting as if their insights are significant. The genre does not allow for simple "hey, that happened, wasn't that a hell of a thing?" observations, which basically cover it all in the postseason.

What an answer from the Jays. This World Series is something.
