bit of a milnerd and artist. still learning stuff. does take commission, just DM me in here. Or honestly just @ me.
Been a while, might do a little, fun thread yapping about Project Grayburn some time soon ish. That said, I'll have to say the known entries have been mostly... 'disappointing'? I think that's too strong of a word to describe it. Maybe 'meh'? Yeah, 'meh' works well enough.

Hello there, what is it with British military news lately covering these potential systems that I had fun looking into... Granted, it was for my "highly sophisticated wargaming session" & the faction using these systems was modelled/based off British Armed Forces, but hey! Might mean another thread!

Very late, but since the topic was recently brought up in a... "Highly complex wargaming scenario" of mine, or perhaps should be more appropriately called "fanfic", I figure having a short thread about this might be nice.

I mean, this is basically why vanilla ice cream is awesome. You can have one with a strong vanilla flavor or more plain cream/milk, both can be customized in every possible way and still taste great.
This is a hill I will die on. Pour some Carlshamns Flaggpunsch (a Swedish-style punsch, traditional Scandinavian liqueur) over a cup and grate dark chocolate on top, and desserts don't get much better than that 😎
All of you have been slandering vanilla ice cream for years because you're buying the kinds without real vanilla in them, aren't you.

You know, I find it hilarious that with the announcement of #NGAD/ #PCA/ #F-47 showing off highly dihedral main wing and potentially canards, considering Boeing/McDD history with X-36 and Bird of Prey, everyone and their mother still assumes it's going to be just a big triangle instead of...

It better be a forward swept design just to spite Su-47 Berkut. Might as fucking well.
I wonder what the reaction would've been if NGAD carried F-46A designation and the CSAF was publicly tweeting that Biden, being the 46th POTUS, was part of the reason why it was chosen.

Bit of a hot take, going bigger is good but future carriers need to look going into different configurations to increase the sortie rate/tempo like having twin/dual landing decks so we can start having like three to four catapults free at all times to launch the aircrafts and have two landing space.

Hot take, IMHO finding a "next-gen" platform to replace the RQ-4, whether it's the so called RQ-180 or something else entirely is more paramount than the CCA drones the public are much more interested because of how "sexy" and high profile they are.
The RQ-4 Global Hawk is such a wonderful drone plagued by issues beyond its control.

modernized #Flanker with western derived avionics, even if it's fictional, always have a certain vibe to them IMHO.

#art of Su-27MA & Su-27MB, for my WIP #AceCombat #fanfic... But also because the Chinese Flankers doesn't scratch my itch.

Don't mind me, just another #art I'm doing for fun. A MBT this time.

"Okay, but what's the point of the entire thing?"

A multi axis flat TVN nozzle is hard to do because of it's geometry. IRL, to keep it's yaw vectoring, a proposed Su-57 design with flat nozzle angled it's orientation instead. Flat nozzles dissipates heat better which is better for IR reduction-

once in a while I return to #Sentou_Yousei_Yukikaze to admire their technical details and there's always something I will just figure out every time I do that, like in this occassion, it just have clicked to me that Mave/Rave's nozzle is a MATV take of the YF-23's nozzle, and that's WILD AS FUCK!

If only.

Bit of a hot take... I know, I know, Oshkosh JLTV is great and all, but I honestly like BAE's Valanx entry more. Seems like it's more light and "refined" and less... imposingly bulky. I get it's necessary for protection but aren't light vehicles like these supposed to be fast instead? like buggies?

While I have no horse in this race, but now it's time to kinda sit back and watch. Well, I don't need to watch, I know how this will go considering the last Trump presidency.

All I say even without America, I still believe in NATO and Europe.

Pacific War will DEFINITELY suck now.

If money is no object, I'd like to believe one of the best 4th gen fighter aircraft design would look something like this.

Okay you know what, since the topic is still relatively fresh, let's talk about #NGAD & the procurement woes #USAF has on the three components it has: the manned fighter, which I shall refer as Penetrating Counter Air(PCA), the unmanned platform, known as Collaborative Combat Aircraft(CCA)-

Technically this is just a coloring of a bash of official linearts and was from a while ago, but meh, here it gets posted anyway.

I have my own opinions about this, not really about the budget cuts, but in the way of solving the problem at hand. Maybe I should do a bit of a thread of non-expert yapping into the wild & end up criticized to the deepest part of hell lel.
The USAF went from "NGAD and CCA is what we need to" "CCA is what we really need" and is now at "even with CCA we can't do our job in the future" because the budget environment is too tight for the world we live in. But there's 0 room for increasing the budget. There's so much room for cutting tho.

first time posting not side profile of vehicle/object, I guess... Just in time before this year's #Inktober ends too. Just an #oc of mine, still in WIP.

How many guns is too much gun on a naval vessel? The argument is in missile age, take as many missile as possible. But a Burke-class DDG still carry a main gun and two 25mm autocannon, plus the crew operated MGs...

Maybe with future guided ammo, guns will return again for closer defense.

honestly, I wonder what's with the seemingly apprehension of shipbuilders making larger trimaran designs, they seems fun to me.
