everyone knows that what trump is saying about renee good is a lie, including ICE and CBP. the messaging needs to be a lie in order to be effective. what they are communicating is this: opponents of the regime have no rights which you are bound to respect, and the conspiracy goes to the top.

I also think it's important to go where the energy is, and weave your policy ideas to a narrative. People don't vote based on policy, they vote based on the story you tell. And if you're conspicuously silent about the jackbooted thugs, that makes it harder to argue that you're standing up

Keep an eye on this space - my earphones' app, which I use to turn noise cancelling on and off etc, has started briefly displaying an ad for the manufacturer on launch.
I'm just waiting for the day some shithead product ruiner at a consumer electronics company decides they should push an update to all their Bluetooth earphones requiring an app to work and making them forceplay ads intermittently. Except of course when you sign up for a janky premium subscription.
