Started my advent calendars yesterday (forgot Monday). Star Wars Lego, and alternating between 12-day Star Wars mini lightsabers and 12-day Lord of the Rings pins. First, Babu Frik, or one of the little aliens of his species and a pin of Sauron’s helm.

...I think someone in the neighborhood might be a bit annoyed with birds in this yard? Just heard a guy shouting "CAW CAW...CAW".
Probably not the same person, but it would amuse me if it were the same one who a while ago was using a leaf blower to move wet leaves.

I think George might like a paper sack more than a cardboard box. I was facing the computer and heard a crinkle, turned around, and he being cute.

Except I'm going to be vacuuming, using the shopvac, and even Lucy--who's nearly completely fearless--doesn't want to be around that one.

It's cool enough that I actually can, though it's a bit of a challenge making sure the kitties don't knock everything over, because it's the window in front of the desk. Not cool enough yet to put away the ac.

I’m not sure how, but any time George walks across a keyboard—iMac, air, iPad, or even the phone—he almost always turns on do not disturb.

I'm working on a story that I started in high school, continued in college, and off-and-on since, and I'm gathering all my various notebooks and everything to get it all organized. Found a folder of printouts from a novel writing class in college--they're all the ones with notes from the professor.

Heard a bit of noise from under the end. Reached a hand down, felt a kitty. Apparently, at some point, Lucy came in and went under and fell asleep. She likes it under there. Skittles used to like it there, too.

I’m facing the computer, which means my back is to the entire room. Heard a small mrow behind me and turned to look. Lucy came to visit, and I never heard her jump on the bookcase.

I'm still not completely well, though the coughing is mostly just diaphragm spasming. Fun.
But I still have some dizziness/vertigo. And today, everything feels like it's slanting backward, so I keep feeling like I need to be leaning forward.

Ugh. I've reached the point where everything is tinged by the taste of the cough syrup I'm taking. I don't know if it's better or worse than mucinex.
