The Epstein Files Transparency Act is a law, passed by Congress on November 19 with an overwhelming vote. Complying with it was not optional. The Department of Justice did not comply.

I want to make sure this is very clear.

I understand he's a bully, that many of his followers are doxxers, that you're on Air Force One. But in 2016 I wanted Clinton to turn around at the debate and say "Stop lurking behind me, you fucking creep" and the first journo to say "What the fuck did you call me?" will be a hero forever
I don't know why the "Piggy" thing is bothering me so much. It's one more unforgivable thing in a list of 20,000 unforgivable things, but I've been mad about it for like 12 straight hours.

Is it a threat to free speech when the President of the United States threatens to yank the broadcast license of a channel whose reporters are asking him challenging questions?

I ask because I feel like there used to be tons of pundits worried about free speech. Where'd they go?
Trump in response to an Epstein question: "ABC, your company, your crappy company is one of the perpetrators. I think the license should be taken away from ABC because your news is so fake and so wrong. And we have a great commissioner, a chairman, who should take a look at that."

1/ Today, ProPublica is running a piece I've been working on for a bit. It's about what happened with a devastating wave of bird flu earlier this year, as egg prices hit record highs.

And it's a story that illuminates the ways the U.S. is failing to control what could become the next pandemic. 🧵

Today’s movie pitch:
A remake of 1997’s “Liar Liar” but set in the House of Representatives & starring Mikey Day as Mike Johnson.

I think it could work.
Q: Do you acknowledge that by voting for this discharge petition today, that's a reversal for you? You could've put this on the floor months ago

MIKE JOHNSON: It's not a reversal

Chris Murphy: "There's a lot of history that has taken place in the East Wing & it was just destroyed without any conversation in the public, without any consent of Congress. It's absolutely illegal. That visual is powerful b/c you're watching destruction of the rule of law as those walls come down"

I for one think the Epstein Ballroom will be magnificent. I love the decor theme of “what if Uday Hussein ran a Ramada Inn.” And giving it a theme song everyone will associate with it is a stroke of brilliance! “Thank Heaven for Little Girls” is very catchy.

The president is using the military to dismantle cities that didn't vote for him

The president is using the military to distract from women speaking out against his and Jeffrey Epstein's sexual abuses.

We are not living in ordinary times. Extraordinary responses are called for.
