Perhaps the heavy handed ICE tactics will trigger a nationwide immigrant worker "Stay at Home" movement a.k.a a general strike that would certainly drive the point home as to why immigrants are needed in this country!
Yes, the WRONG F*CKING TOWN!
We are NOT here for this!
ICE rolls in, LA rises up.🔥

If Stephen Miller was looking for immigrants to roll over and just take it from his ICE goons, he picked the wrong f*cking town. Between yesterday in LA City and Paramount today, the community is fighting back.

What's up with the heavy handed ICE tactics being used in San Diego and LA? I suppose they feel CA is a target rich environment. Why don't they concentrate on "helping" the RED States that wanted immigrants gone in the first place?
Better safe than sorry…

🚨Heavy ICE Presence Expected in Los Angeles on Sunday. A bilingual warning is being shared with the community — including areas to avoid.

Stay alert. Protect each other. Know your rights.

Just great! Another science quack is joining the Trump administration in a senior role. We already have unvaxxed kids with measles overdosing on Vitamin A because another anti-vaxxer science quack is encouraging it. Now, we can hardly wait for Hydroxyman to give us his pearls of wisdom...
Exclusive: Steven J. Hatfill, a virologist who pushed hydroxychloroquine as a treatment for the coronavirus despite what most researchers said was a lack of scientific evidence, has joined the second Trump administration in a senior role.
Scientist who was part of covid treatment controversy returns to HHS
Steven Hatfill promoted hydroxychloroquine during the pandemic. Decades earlier he was wrongly connected with the anthrax attacks that killed five people.

My local SSA had staffing cut by 45%. I had to do a walk-in to SSA office to prove my ID. Took 3 hours. I presented my Real ID. The clerk said I was listed as a non-citizen. Luckily, I had my Passport along with me. corrected my record but I wonder if the Muskateers are mucking with the database.

So SSA is having to resurrect people from the dead now! Who knows whether or not these problems were caused by the Muskateers who might have mucked around with the SSA database when they got rid of those people over 115 YO. Folks over 115 YO were not collecting benefits. www.msn.com/en-us/news/u...

Will reducing IRS staffing by 50% actually pull in more tax dollars? My uncle worked for the IRS auditing insurance companies. I recall him saying that he typically recovered $38K/hour that he was auditing their books. With folks like him gone, exactly how will the rich pay their fair share?
"the plan to shrink IRS staff by up to 50% would — very conservatively — lead to a $400 billion increase in uncollected taxes over the next decade. It could easily mean more than $2 trillion in losses..."

Opinion | DOGE says it’s saving $100 billion. It’s about to lose a lot more.
Cuts to the IRS will backfire by giving tax evaders a free pass.

Tomorrow, Donald Trump is going to talk about how America is Great Again, thanks to him.

The truth? Food and other costs are up. Corruption is way up. And he’s making Russia great again, while making America look small and weak.

An awful start to an administration.

I agree! Not buying anything tomorrow. Some personal finance advice that I have followed in the past was to have a "no buy" month early in the year to allow finances to recover from excessive spending over the holidays. We will abstain from buying much of anything in March. Join me, shall you?
UNDERSTAND THE ASSIGNMENT: tomorrow, February 28th, is the Economic Blackout.

I ain’t buying shit. Plan ahead, but if you must buy essentials, use cash and support local businesses only. No corporate chains!

Maddow: I think it is a bad mistake to let Joy Reid walk out the door. It is also unnerving to see that on a network where we've got two nonwhite hosts in primetime, both of our nonwhite hosts in primetime are losing their shows, as is Katie Phang on the weekend. I do not defend it.

Hilarious! However, for Feds under scrutiny, please respond seriously. 47 and the Muskateers are looking for any reason to get you GONE. Of course nobody is going to read 2.4 million responses, but I think Musk will use AI to data mine responses looking for work that they deem not needed. 1984 lives

Below is a story of a 47 voter who lost his Fed job. 47 said what he was going to do. And you still voted for him? Gutting the Fed Gov deeply will affect voters from both sides. Resignations and provisional workers were just the start of job losses. Much more to come. www.msn.com/en-us/news/p...

83 years ago today, 120,000 Japanese-Americans were sent to internment camps across the country, simply due to their ethnicity.

This shameful chapter of American history exists in living memory, as does its lesson — that unchecked executive power threatens our basic constitutional rights.

If you decide not to delete, you can still resist! When the algorithm throws unwanted posts in your feed, BLOCK it. Simply hiding does not stop Zuck's algorithm from sending more junk. Also, DO NOT click on ads as it gets him $. Use DuckDuckGo to explore products that you see to stay hidden.
Is Mark Zuckerberg's sh***iness enough to make people delete their social media?

I had never heard of a sitting president doing this before. Now I have been enlightened. Super Bowl appearance and now this. Will he pull the same prank at the Indy 500? We can learn a lot from history.
