A wonderful positive campaign but we fell just a little short of winning in Fountainbridge-Craiglockhart this time. Our 3rd place makes winning here in 2027 so much more likely.

This was incredibly disappointing 🙅‍♂️

In speaking, I mentioned the inspirational actions of Labour Cllrs in 1986 when opposing apartheid in South Africa ✊

How far Labour has fallen that, now, in the face of a genocide, they refuse to use their power to oppose arms companies testing on Council land 🥀

BAE Systems arms states that are engaged in human rights atrocities like Israel and Saudi Arabia.

Yet the Scottish Government is giving them millions in grants.

We must stop funding multinational arms companies, and instead use that money to support people in Scotland.

Council also endorsed officer recommendation to retain teacher Sustainability Champions in all schools and their sector-leading work with children & young people on Climate & Nature emergencies.

Thankfully Council decision is not to cut PSA and Transition teachers but sadly nothing more for ASN Holiday hubs.

At Edinburgh Council budget meeting, proud to speak to support Green Cllrs rejection of Labour's proposed cut to Pupil Support Assistants & Transition teachers and also an additional £500k for holiday hubs for children with Additional Support Needs.
