What is it about shopping cart discourse that always brings out this sort of wildly dehumanizing, bloodthirsty rethoric? I swear to god it happens every single time

Forgot to post on here the other day but I wrote a little song about necromancer-turkeys

I know it’s silly but I’m pretty proud of the fact that I realized how shitty Musk and Rowling were before most people did

I love that the introduction of Éomer is basically just him going “damn, this is wild” over and over again

"AI" programs like chatgpt have zero intelligence going on, they do not know anything, they have never had a thought, they don't understand the things they say, they will tell you false information, they are not capable of verifying anything they tell you

The difference is that a human being isn’t an ontologically evil machine designed to suck the soul out of life and crush it beneath the boot of capital

The voice Andy Serkis does for the barrow-wight in the audio book is scarier than anything in the Peter Jackson movies

Spotify donated 1.7 million kroner to Trump’s inauguration and hosted a party featuring Ben Shapiro & Tim Pool. These companies and mega-rich CEOs don’t care about the workers who make their companies run, they care about cozying up to Trump’s oligarchical power.

Or channel that anger into your ideas. My songwriting is basically a personal rage room at the moment, and given the state of things, I think it should be.
If you have a cool idea you’re working on, today’s the day to get productive.

There will be time to get mad later.
How to spend today

“It’s a Roman salute, not a nazi salute”

Those are the same thing actually. If you say otherwise, you’re not even splitting hairs—you’re just lying.

Just started reading (listening to) The Fellowship of the Ring. Maybe it’s just my tiktok-rotted brain but boy the first few chapters are slow huh?

This goes to show two things:

1. Good paleoartists put so much work and research into their art and deserve way more recognition

2. Despite what certain movie franchises (*cough* jurassic park *cough*) would have you believe, you don’t have to depict dinosaurs inaccurately for them to be scary
I’ve been doing a lot of reading about Megalosaurus recently, a highly significant yet relatively poorly understood dinosaur. In light of this, I’ve revised one of my recent illustrations to incorporate a nasal crest - which now seems an entirely possible - even probable - feature.

This take caused a lot of shit when I posted it on Threads but Idiocracy is actually a pro-eugenics movie and I don’t think you can call it prophetic without a whole series of caveats and clarifications

Bad, unnuanced take. If TikTok is a weapon, so is Facebook, except it targets right-leaning boomers instead of young people.
There is a reason TikTok is so good at figuring out what you want to see, and why it’s better than everything else: it’s a weapon, and the best weapon is one you don’t know exists, or worse, one you think you can’t live without
