As online ID check laws spread, companies are working out how to comply. It’s Day 5 of our week of action- we’re putting the spotlight on YouTube.

YouTube rolled out age verification this summer to appease lawmakers, smoothing the way for more dangerous laws to pass.

With Black Friday/Cyber Monday done, its best to settle back into 'marathon' call routines rather than the 'sprint' we had for the weekend.

if you did participate in calling Visa and MC this past weekend though, thank you! We have to keep going, but every call matters!
Today is the day! Make some phone calls to Visa and Mastercard if youre able to and keep it going as much as you can muster until monday!

“These are censorship laws. In the South, where I live, these same proposals mimic a lot of the arguments that you see behind book bans and behind laws that criminalize gender-affirming health care or abortion information.”
The Age-Gated Internet Is Sweeping the US. Activists Are Fighting Back
Half of the country now requires age verification to watch porn or access “harmful” content. Digital rights advocates are pushing back against legislation they say will make the internet less safe.

I'm begging any artists still using Twitter claiming it's integral to their work to just leave. It's been revealed the site works off a made up "credit score" from hell and punishes you for posting like a normal human being.

Abandon Twitter for good. It's time. It's been time.

The House Committee Meeting was heavily in favor of these various censorship/surveillance bills

We need now, more than ever, to counter the rhetoric that these bills are "popular" and demand our reps oppose them!

I sent in a call to the committee just now, and let them know that the way the committee handled the meeting was unacceptable, and demanded that these bills receive additional scrutiny via more meetings

I think when you're calling your representatives and/or the Committee majority number, you should be demanding that these bills go through more meetings

they need maximum scrutiny and should not be pushed through as fast as possible
wants this to be the last meeting on this matter before they turn bills into laws.

Please for the love of god call your reps and tell them to vote no to KOSA and other bad internet bills otherwise we lose everything we have
You need to do it now, today is the day
Congress is attempting to fast track KOSA and more than a dozen bills that would restrict internet access, censor speech and increase surveillance under the guise of protecting children.

Committee hearings begin tomorrow.
Lawmakers to consider 19 bills for childproofing the internet
KOSA is back, along with more than a dozen other bills that will erode free speech and privacy in the name of protecting kids.

Let adults be adults with other adults in adult spaces. Hold parents responsible for negligence if they don’t monitor their kid’s internet time. Hold minors responsible for committing identity fraud by lying about their age. Leave artists and freedom of speech be!

Well. One of the cutest SFW furry artist got banned from PayPal. What more proof do y'all need that we need to keep fighting the good fight?

Also go support Nakufin.

Please keep putting pressure on PayPal. Stories like this are becoming more and more common. Artists don’t deserve to lose their source of income over payment processors being puritanical/anti-small business.

Guys, as a ex call center employee, this is fucking DESPERATION BEHAVIOR.

Pizza and ice cream once may be an entire year's planned discretionary budget for a team, they do NOT value them enough to provide common comfort. If their doing this? Their not just scared, their TERRIFIED.
Spoke with a source who told me the call volume is so high, a call center for both Mastercard & Visa is bringing out pizza and ice cream so agents don’t quite amid the rush. Long waits are causing dropped calls.

What you’re doing is working. Call MC & Visa.
