If they TAUGHT us how to do things in gym class, then the "natural order" of Jocks Over All would've been challenged!

Presumably also the reason girls couldn't take weightlifting at my school (I was still stronger than some of the boys).

Even with the scholarship, the travel time & need for a fishtank on wheels would be cost-prohibitive!

I would like to put forward that these folks are not, in fact, "losing it," given that they appear to have lost it long ago

Given how if you don't do that he'll stand there staring at the oven & devour a whole loaf himself it seems like a very practical thing!

My grandma's bread recipe (also with buttered tops, but she was not from Newfoundland) always made "too much" dough & I couldn't figure out why--until my dad told me they always had some fried in butter while the rest baked.

Which I must now try.

We could de-Frankify it & return to the Low German "ramken"?

Or just say "personal casserole dish"

[I actually use a VERY bougie set of glass pans that go together to make a muffin tin, so everyone gets a tiny custard. Those were a gift.]

From Iowa: you *absolutely* need better vetting & voter information if you go to an appointment-retention vote system. Every judicial election the only thing I can find about judges is a puff piece: "has ten grandkids & likes golf" is utterly goddamn useless.

I would have much less of an issue with the public subsidizing Amazon's delivery service if I felt like Bezos and Amazon paid an appropriate amount of taxes.

A business benefitting from a public service is fine. Exploitation is not.

And while we require mitigation for losses to development, it's never an even trade: you can't substitute one kind of wetland for another, one flood storage location for another, one flyway resting area for another when they are in an entirely different ecological zone sometimes 100s of miles away.
