Slowly they start moving later again next week

Latest sunrises don't occur until early January. #wbz

I would have much less of an issue with the public subsidizing Amazon's delivery service if I felt like Bezos and Amazon paid an appropriate amount of taxes.

A business benefitting from a public service is fine. Exploitation is not.

amazon threatens this every year and every year they come to the conclusion that actually attempting this would cost them significantly more than what they currently pay, this is *always* an attempt to renegotiate their costs, but the post has not *always* been owned by AMZ’s largest shareholder
Exclusive: Amazon has long been USPS’s top customer, providing over $6 billion in annual revenue in 2025.

But Amazon may give up its long-standing partnership with USPS to deliver packages itself, which could spell disaster for the mail agency.

And while we require mitigation for losses to development, it's never an even trade: you can't substitute one kind of wetland for another, one flood storage location for another, one flyway resting area for another when they are in an entirely different ecological zone sometimes 100s of miles away.

Just an uneducated guess, but is there any chance the postmaster general has it in his best interest to destroy the post office and privatize it, thus breaking one of the largest existing unions in America?

I really can't emphasize enough that if you care about local politics, all you gotta do is show up. Just a regular schmegular person showing up. Literally just show up consistently in person and within a remarkably short amount of time, you will have a shocking amount of influence.

Another enabling factor in some of these situations is what’s known as a pregnancy exclusion law. It wasn’t an issue here as Adriana didn’t have an advance directive, but I think it’s important for women to know about. In many states in the US, once you become pregnant, your health care decisions

Prison rape is wrong.

Jokes about prison rape are wrong.

Eliminating protections against prison rape is wrong.

If another country sentenced a criminal to be raped, we'd consider it a crime against humanity.

BUT

A large segment of Americans regard prison rape as a de facto part of the sentence.
BREAKING: Trump administration plans to end prison rape protections for trans & intersex people, memo says. A DOJ memo says certain standards under the Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA) do not align with Trump’s Jan. 20 anti-trans executive order, @byadamrhodes.bsky.social reports.

Wisconsin's recusal rules are SO WEAK that they are essentially non-existent. This has led to the BIG spending that we are seeing in Wisconsin's Supreme Court races. 👎 Strong recusal rules are a must! #MoneyInPolitics
