This might be the worst ICE video yet, because it’s literally random dudes hanging around, and then a bunch of heavily armed thugs running them down completely out of nowhere, because they’re brown. It’s a nightmare that would have seemed excessive in Jim Crow. Everyone in America should see this.

Looking for the Chinese woman who was having lunch alone at Atlantic Fish last Sunday in the afternoon. I'm very sorry l invaded your space. I meant no disrespect. I thought I may have met you a year ago. I only wanted to ask a question that someone from China could answer. I sat down on the edge of the seat because I didn't want to hover over you and my body language to show I had no intention of staying. I was there less than 5 minutes and am now banned permanently.

Nicely-placed “recommended reading” in the middle of @theatlantic.com’s story on Hegseth’s speech

against Latin American drug gangs. Hegseth appeared to relish the suspense, taking the trouble to comment on a retired general's social-media post about a 1935 meeting in which Nazi generals were asked to swear allegiance to Hitler rather than the Weimar constitution. "Cool story, General," Hegseth wrote.
