We budget $300 a month to buy food for hungry neighbors. We go to Costco and load up on canned goods & as much produce as we can afford. Groceries are more expensive now. For the first time since 2020, we've had to leave the pantry empty and watch people come to get food and go away empty-handed.
I have a food pantry in my front yard. It is used heavily. We can't keep it full & could use some help covering the cost of shelf-stable supplies. No one is using this pantry unless they need the help. We supply beans, oatmeal, onions, etc. It's not gourmet food.
