I just got here today & already I’ve seen someone’s asshole. 🫣
It was a gorgeous day. Perfect for walking part of the CicLAvia x Stranger Things route down Melrose & getting a cup of Rainbow Rocket at Happy Ice. Then I treated myself to a bouquet of garden roses & a box of pears that we hope will rival ones we had from FL so many years ago. Fingers crossed!

Did I mention that I put a tablespoon of HEET in Penelope’s tank last week and she’s been starting every time since? She still sputters a little but at least she’s starting and not dying. I checked & my mechanic claimed to have cleaned the fuel line in April, so 🤷‍♀️

I stayed up past 2am the other day collecting Fish Almanac comics in Hello Kitty Island Adventure.
Today I watched I’ll Always Know What You Did Last Summer.

This is the problem with being a completist.

Grr. I had to fire up my laptop (which I rarely use) to fix this.
If you use GMail, AI (Gemini) was turned on yesterday by default and now scans all of your content for machine learning. To turn off, go to Settings>General and scroll down. Uncheck the box for "Smart features."

There's other "Smart" add-ons as well, but that's the one that reads your content.

I binged Murderbot on Apple TV this weekend* and loved it. I know nothing of the source material (I assume it’s a comic book/graphic novel), but it was fun. I love Ken doll Alexander Skarsgård.

This is what I get for deleting Dynasty emails because I’m broke 😭 This is on my birthday. Grateful that I’ll be able to stream it at least!
This Sunday’s SPONTANEANATION LIVE is sold out! So we simply have to stream the sumbitch!

Jason Statham was doing a great job being Jason Statham in this one, but OOF it was not good. Michael Peña was surprisingly bad. Regardless, I will still see any Jason Statham movie in the theater.
the latest jason statham — A WORKING MAN — is basically paint by numbers and you know what it is still a pretty good time

I need the @criterionchannl.bsky.social to add a section every month of “Films Leaving Your Library.” The email doesn’t arrive until about two weeks into the month & I’m left scrambling. I’ve already watched two Robert Altman movies today.

Y’all. Two grade school-aged children (and their parents) just moved in upstairs. At first B & I were relieved that they’re girls, but let me tell you, the excited screaming and running around is already off the charts. Clearly we are child-free, assuming girls would be more chill. 🤦‍♀️

I’m an Ira Glass gal, despite the fact that, outside of a pickle spear, I am vehemently opposed to pickled veg. I can overlook it for this sandwich. 🤤
I went to Wax Paper in LA because Jenny Slate said a) the sandwiches were bomb, and b) they’re all named after NPR hosts, and I indeed had something of a religious experience with the Terry Gross (turkey on focaccia with a jalapeño/radish slaw, like what the hell is this sorcery).

Blatant Drew Tarver erasure @cbbworld.bsky.social
If you've never seen the show, "the other two" are the siblings of a Justin Bieber style teen pop star who try to coast off his fame. Amazing roles for Molly Shannon and Ken Marino, and in a breakthrough part, Josh Segarra.

Currently crawling onto the 5 from the 405. I can count far too many trucks/semis. We REALLY need to move back to transporting more goods via rail.

I don’t watch the World Series when the Dodgers are playing because it’s too stressful. I just listen for the reactions of my neighbors & check the score when they’re whooping it up.
I’m enjoying the games and the drama, but I honestly believe if I was a real fan of either of these teams I’d be dead from a coronary.
