Character-wise, I’m kind of borderline shy/wild. I like to surf & turf, in that order.

My new album Blame It On My Zodiac is available now exclusively on my Bandcamp!! You can stream it or buy it there, but go check it out, won’t you? I gave it every micron of energy I had and I’m very proud of it. Out everywhere else next Friday!

When you get to the bar five minutes before happy hour ends and “Fascination Street” immediately starts playing on the jukebox. That’s amore.

I got the green kangaroo tee at Superchunk’s Halloween show at the Fox Theatre in Boulder CO in 1995, and you know what? Though I wore it to pieces, I still have it. Very happy to get a new one 30 years later.
From Mac: “The most-requested non-shirt item we ever made was this Hyper Enough mug & I’m here to let you know the mugs are back! Celebrating 30 years of Here’s Where The Strings Come In with a reissue “Hyper Enough” tee and the classic mug.”

Finished this today after a truly epic last 400 pages. I am slightly dazed to return to our actual reality. This was really very good, very straightforward in its way, super exciting, and I cried several times. I liked House Of Leaves in the day, but this is a whole different kind of book. Amazing.
I got Mark Z Danielewski’s absolutely massive new book Tom’s Crossing (it is alarmingly heavy), have crushed 100 pages in a few hours. It’s gripping, drifty, detailed, conversational, a neo-Western, keeps promising unspeakable horrors to come, has a Stephen King 👍🏼 on the back. I’m so on board.

Spent the whole weekend listening to Chopin and reading a book, like Inspector goddamn Morse (when there is no case).

Happy birthday, Doctor Who 🥰
The thing about Doctor Who is that I like nearly all of it, as near to all as makes no odds. And I’ve heard almost twice as many audio stories as there are TV episodes in existence, so I’ve sampled a broad base. All pretty good.

Stopping at page 843, I have been so tense for so long it’s like I’m watching Green Room in slow motion lol.
Stopping for the night at page 720, yet I’m a mere 58% of the way through. This is absolutely fucking great. Edge of my seat for days. Tom’s Crossing!!

VERY good, atypical noir with fab Charles Laughton and Ella Raines performances, plus a pair of excellent “squabbling couple next door” side characters. Underseen!

Received this cool object in the mail, a giant anniversary box set from Deutsche Grammophon with 120 CDs, everything from Haydn to Steve Reich. Going straight for my obsessions: solo piano & chamber music. This is going to take me easily a decade to digest and I’m quite excited.

The first song on my record is all about this Gretsch 12-string. I got it in the pandemic, this was the first thing I wrote. Nearly lost when I left Earwolf, a few songs were on their Dropbox but I got them back. Got bongos expressly for this song.

I feel like a lot of us in the comedy world failed the world at large when we stayed silent despite knowing all about Cosby and Louis so let me say right now that Steve Martin has eaten one banjo a year for the last 25 years

Because I love The Boys and work on Jenny’s new podcast, I feel it’s important to share that I saw her right after she recorded this episode and she spent several minutes talking about how this was the most fun she had ever had. That really made me happy.

I may be wrong, but I have a suspicion THIS is what it’s all about, the cover-up is partially to protect the degenerates who engaged in the crimes, sure, but I think it’s even more about the financial/political network that supported & enriched itself from them. Lock up every last one.

“You guys aren't privy to all the new shit, so uh, you know, but hey, that's what you, that's what you pay me for.”
“Will you release all the files within 30 days?”

BONDI: “We’ll continue to follow the law.”🤔

“You said no addition investigation was warranted. What changed?”

BONDI: “Information.” 🙃
