There's a very cool video out there somewhere of Jackson's daughter reminiscing about how her mom gamed out the logistics of the poisoning in WHALITC at the family dinner table. (It was at a conference, but YouTube isn't coughing it up right now)

I was trying to figure this out from the website--apparently this is "Prime Deals Day" which is basically Amazon "cutting prices" on a random assortment of stuff they need to unload plus maybe some loss-leaders that folks might spring for early as holiday gifts. Basically a President's Day sale.

I signed that one too! Thanks!

Sign the petition below to protect UT and demand President Davis refuse to sign the Trump administration’s “compact” for higher education, an attack on UTAustin’s integrity and independence!

Ruben Gallego on whether Trump is talking to Democrats:

“Look, the President clearly has some kind of dementia, so I think there's a he's probably talking to himself, or think he's talking to a Democrat, but I sincerely doubt that that's actually he's actually physically talking to a Democrat.“

Gonna be thinking about this lede for a minute.
(RNS) — Last month, the Rev. David Black stood in front of a Chicago-area U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement facility and spread his arms wide. Adorned in all black and wearing a clerical collar, the pastor looked up at a group of masked, heavily armed ICE agents on the roof and began to pray.

“I invited them to repentance,” Black, a minister in the Presbyterian Church (USA), said in an interview. “I basically offered an altar call. I invited them to come and receive that salvation, and be part of the kingdom that is coming.”

But when Black began to lower his arms a few seconds later, the agents responded to his spiritual plea by firing pepper balls, or chemical agents that cause eye irritation and respiratory distress, video footage shows. One struck Black in the head, exploding into a puff of white pepper smoke and forcing him to his knees. Fellow demonstrators rushed to his aid, and as the pastor rubbed his face in pain, the agents continued to fire.

“We could hear them laughing,” Black said.

What's it like living in Chicago today? This image gives us a strong sense of the fear that Chicagoans fear from Trump's secret police.

One guest, a retired major general, was asked about Hegseth's dismissal of the rules of engagement. He answered: "The words the president and secretary of defense are those of potential war criminals."

I’m a career prosecutor who took a $25,000 check from an affiliated entity of Donald Trump’s while investigating Trump University and later left my lobbying firm to become Donald Trump’s personal impeachment lawyer, White House aide, and Attorney General. So don’t you DARE question my integrity.

President Trump, answering reporters' questions in the Oval Office, says he'll announce in four or five days how many federal workers will be fired amid the government shutdown but "it'll be substantial and a lot of those jobs will never come back."

Oh SHIT. Two birds with one stone and neither were for immigration. It was to hassle black folk and make a sizzle real about it and to help Wells Fargo out.

Fucking crazy shit.

I think people who respond to these products have little or no experience with creative activity, so they are at least willing to try it. People still buy paint-by-number sets! At heart it's about how we stopped funding art education in public schools.
