I actually own the original Snake figma
New one has same body sculpt but more game accurate colours and MUCH less aggressive shading, and the head sculpt is totally new - again, more accurate and less gritty (and no moving eye gimmick) but also softer and less detailed. Generally an improvement.

Although I have been tired and frazzled and was starting a bit of an emotional tailspin all day, so maybe I was extra sensitive to it...
But just... it takes quite a bit to be so profoundly moved...

now all I can do is hope what was spoiled was early and not major in the grand scheme of things but worst of all these thoughts and concerns are going to be weighing down on me when I do finally get around to watching it so regardless I just don't get to engage with it properly anymore
