Yarn enthusiast. Maker of good trouble 😉 voting rights advocate. A perfectly, imperfect human being.
While the Elon/Trump crash out is objectively funny/ironic... I feel like his tweets (specifically the ones saying that Trump & Republicans would have lost the election w/o his $$) are a perfect example as to why we need to overturn Citizens United... Just saying...

🧵I just got off the phone with a staffer for @golden.house.gov who informed me that people could "simply sign an affidavit that they are a citizen." Here's the thing about that, what if there are no affidavits available for someone to sign? Are they blocked from voting?
April 28, 2025 at 5:49 PM
I love receiving emails from @golden.house.gov gaslighting me into thinking ME already requires citizenship to vote. Buddy, idk who wrote that email for you but ME currently requires you prove RESIDENCY not CITIZENSHIP which are 2 different things. Maybe fact check those emails before hitting send.

🧵Maine people! Did you also receive @golden.house.gov 's email titled "Last week in Maine's Second District" like me? Did you know he directly asks in that email whether you support his decision regarding the SAVE Act? Now you do!

Not my own writing but I agree with the author. Shame on you for doing the WRONG thing @golden.house.gov

In a moment that doesn't call on us to choose between Democrat and Republican, but between right or wrong, you choose to do the wrong thing. We, the voters, have our eyes on you.

Absolute lies. ME's voting culture comes from how easy it is to register to vote and vote. ME currently does not require proof of citizenship to vote and allows for same day voter registration. I can confidently say this is wrong due to my work as a voting rights advocate in ME.

🧵 There are a lot of misleading claims out there about the SAVE Act. Let me set the record straight: I voted for the SAVE Act for the simple reason that American elections are for Americans. Requiring proof of citizenship to register to vote is common sense.

Starting a new hashtag for my Maine people who want someone who won't vote with the GOP when it comes to budget and then later try to gaslight us by saying it's bad or vote for blatant voter suppression bills. Introducing #votegoldenout let's build a movement to get someone new in his seat.

It's official, anytime @golden.house.gov says he's protecting voting rights, he's lying. He just voted in FAVOR, again, to support the SAVE Act which is a blatant voter suepression bill.

Hello Bluesky Friends! If you're a fellow Mainer, like me, then you should call @golden.house.gov and tell him you OPPOSE the SAVE Act. I've heard that he's planning on voting in FAVOR of it. If he votes in favor of this bill then we truly cannot trust him to protect our right to vote.

Measles is a serious disease.

1 in 5 children who are infected with measles end up in hospital, often with pneumonia. Children can also suffer complications, such as deafness, blindness, or even brain damage.

No parent wants to see their child end up in hospital.

Be sure to make a phone call to @golden.house.gov who was one of five Democrats to support this bill originally. We can't trust him to uphold voting rights if he continues to support this bill despite him claiming that he does want to uphold them.
The Save Act is slated for a vote, this week, Thursday 4-10. Contact your Representatives and tell them to vote No!

This bill is voter suppression on steroids.

Hi Maine friends! Wanted to post a friendly reminder that @golden.house.gov has voted in SUPPORT of the SAVE Act in the past! It's a good time to call his offices and tell him that you oppose this bill because it's a blatant voter suppression bill.

He ended his filibuster by making the point that this moment is not about left or right but about what's right and what's wrong. That is the choice we have as Americans these next few years between doing what's right by our fellow human or what's wrong.
Thank you Senator Cory Booker. Your words ( your many words) are needed at this crucial time.
April 2, 2025 at 12:13 AM
We need more senators making good trouble like Corey Booker making good trouble. Honestly if Dems really want to do more than just show feigned outrage, they should be lining up behind him to continue the filibuster or just doing more in general.

I've attached a copy of the letter I faxed to @golden.house.gov because his recent voting record has me very concerned as it does not represent the intentions or the needs of the people of Maine. Instead of bending at the knee to a tyrant, he should be standing up for the people of Maine.
