I cook food, watch TV, and have very strong opinions about sitcoms.
Hey gang, I’m doing a really big thing, and I could use your help.

i'm the queen and my account is like a feast in my great hall where everyone is fucked up on mutton and shitty ale and i get to sit on my throne and happily observe, and periodically when somebody forgets how to act everyone bands together to throw them out into the mud

It's probably true that the human brain isn't evolved to handle social media, but I think it helps if you envision yourself as a sort of beloved local knave, modestly dining out on your little japes and stories, rather than as a rebel king collecting banners for your bloody campaign for the throne

We’re running a burger special at Table today, and I wanna sell out fast. If you’re in downtown Raleigh and hungry for burgers, come see me at 300 W Hargett St!

I do believe everyone is entitled to their opinion, but I do wish I didn’t have to read all the really dumb ones to get to something halfway interesting.

The thing about social media and why I use it so very little compared to most is that for every cute animal and thoughtful take, I have to wade through a gushing tide of complete poopoo. I try to curate my feed, but because I like movies and TV, I end up seeing some of people’s worst possible takes.

Severance season 2 finale. Obviously the ending shot puts you in mind of The Graduate, right? #severance

How about a coffee cart that comes to your neighborhood on a Sunday morning, and you and all your neighbors hang out together for an hour or two every now and then. Community bonding and such.
I would like a neighborhood ice cream truck but for adults that comes around at like 6:00ish and serves fantastic cocktails inspired by all of the original ice cream truck treats

I like it when I finish all my prep early and can just chill with a cup of tea before service.

I’m doing ok, all things considered, but the urge to listen to Elliott Smith and just kinda shut down is pretty strong these days.

Accidentally misgendered *myself* on the phone yesterday, which was extra funny because it was a call about moving up my consultation appointment for top surgery.

(I answered hello, the other person said “Is this Tracey?” and I said “This is she- uh, um, I mean they, actually, haha”)

Very pleased about What We Do In The Shadows being back on streaming while I’m stuck at home on a snow day.

Enjoying Rebel Ridge as a good old revenge fantasy action movie. I like movies like this, The Equalizer, etc., where an underestimated but highly capable protagonist violently and *cleverly* take down those who have wronged them or wronged other innocent people.

“The reason we face the worst is because it helps us imagine the best.” What a fantastic, hopeful read. Treat yourself to this, and then spread it around.
I wrote about the worst people in the world, charting the depths of their depravity and vastness of their incompetence, and offered some thoughts about the opportunity presented by their failure to acknowledge reality and their refusal to access any form of human virtue.

Drank a diet coke after not having any significant amount of caffeine in about a month and a half, and WHOO. Cleaned most of the house, sorted through all my clothes to make a donation bag, washed and folded all of my clothes AND Jon’s because I’m sweet like that.
