I'm on Bluesky now
The thing is, PPG was announced for Miguzi, but never aired

Since Williams Street also ran Adult Swim Action, I could see some would-be ASA shows instead make their way over to Toonami- but just PG-rated ones like Moribito.

Then again, Action Flicks aired some TV-14 films, so maybe we could dip our toes into light TV-14 anime as well.

As for anime (outside of Naruto and probably Shippuden), Toonami Jetstream continued running until early 2009. I think they could air some of the shows they were airing at the time, like Blue Dragon, Kiba, and even... Transformers Animated?

Honestly, I think that OG Toonami could have survived past 2008 if they put some more elbow grease into it. And relied less on anime.

"You Are Here" and the followup "Night of Action" could serve as good templates for what might air (Johnny Test reruns not withstanding).

Some may claim that Professor Hinkle actually created Frosty because his hat brought him to life

But that's like saying that Zeus actually created the Monster because he was brought to life by lightning

Hinkle didn't help build Frosty or put the magic hat on him. Karen did.

Oh my god there's even a bride in the sequel

It goes a lot better for Frosty though
December 9, 2025 at 4:16 AM
In fact, fire so bad that Frosty and the Monster both died as a result of extreme heat, in front of their respective creators.

They got better.

fire bad

Hocus Pocus is Fritz (the prototypical "Igor" archetype)

Hocus Pocus steals the hat that brings Frosty to life

Fritz steals the abnormal brain that is used for the monster

Both the hat and the brain go on or in the head
December 9, 2025 at 4:16 AM
I'm being serious here. Frosty is Christmas Frankenstein.

Obviously, Frosty is the Monster- a manmade humanoid creation given life through unnatural means.

Karen is the Dr. Frankenstein of this scenario, the man (or in this case girl) behind the monster.
December 9, 2025 at 4:16 AM
Because Frosty is basically just the Christmas version of Frankenstein

The original Frosty actually is canon because the police officer makes an appearance in the official sequel, Frosty's Winter Wonderland (even if Karen and Professor Hinkle are out), and it introduces Crystal, who also appears in Rudolph and Frosty's Christmas in July

So my conspiracy theory was that Beetleborgs Force started out as a plan for a third season of Beetleborgs using leftover footage, but was likely scrapped in favor of Mystic Knights.

They couldn't go to the next beetle-themed Metal Hero season because... yeah

The rights to the series passed to Fox Kids in the 90s and Disney in the 2000s through their Fox Family purchase, resulting in international DVDs of the show with the Jetix branding... and for some reason, pictures of the LIVE-ACTION RoboCop.
December 5, 2025 at 12:25 AM
Fun fact: The first cartoon wasn't copyrighted by Orion Pictures- y'know- the guys who owned the movie in the first place- but instead Marvel Productions. It had a few Marvel-branded VHS tapes back in the day as a result.
December 5, 2025 at 12:25 AM
I was going to ask which kid-friendly RoboCop cartoon this was until I looked both of them up and saw the clear differences between the two. It's obviously the 1988 one.

But the fact that I had to ask "which one"-
