Struggling with the Libby app :( a client was talking about Neal Stephenson and I was like, "I should read more of him" and then he recommended William Gibson, so I just tried to grab books by both of them, and couldn't find any complete trilogies from either writer among the audiobooks on Libby

I'm trying to get the vehicle speed sensor out of my friends Toyota Corolla and the damn thing is stuck and I'm losing my mind. I sprayed the dang thing with PB Blaster, clamped on it with locking pliers, got a small pry bar under it... Not a wiggle.

I bought the audiobooks of Becky Chambers' Wayfarer series so I can relisten to them whenever I want. My first audiobook purchase.
I'm 80% through my favorite, Record of a Spaceborn Few. I love the Fleet. I love the dissection of the human workings of it. I love Sawyer's earnest efforts. I love it

Portland is just so much cooler than Seattle, lol. I'm very much a thrift store shopper and there's SO many thrift, resale, consignment, and vintage stores in Portland. I'm currently on Hawthorne in the SE 30's cross streets and there's 2-3 awesome stores every block.

Also, on "Thursday Murder Club" movie and "Only Murders in the Building"... is the Black lady cop working with amateur detectives a new trope, or an extension of old tropes? I guess it's meant to highlight how the establishment (represented by white boys club cops) doesn't listen or care, but...

#spoiler Thoughts about the end of the Thursday Murder Club movie on Netflix, which was otherwise a fun movie, the ending was, to me, unsatisfying. Why the heck would the crime boss agree? What was the point of his threats, was he trying to get caught? Also, the killers fates...

Historically, at conventions, I've been too busy volunteering or gaming, and haven't gone to a lot of panels. I've been trying to have better boundaries about volunteering and have been going to panels... I'm starting to think it's a 50/50 chance on whether a sci-fi panel winds up being about AI.
