Kinda crazy this had to happen, but good on them at least.
As a Monster Hunter fan I was pretty bummed with card selection/quality, but happy to see they are willing to just scrap it and try again.

We care a lot about the worlds we get to celebrate, and Secret Lair x Monster Hunter didn’t quite come together the way it should have. We hear you, so we’re heading back to the drawing board to rework this Superdrop. More to come.

I'm aware my box from ATLA is definitely on the low end luck wise (buy singles etc), but the upshift of every bonus sheet card to Mythic also sucks REALLLLY bad.
6 mythics from my box.. seems okay until we look at them. Lets start with the from set ones. All bulk mythics. Interesting ones at least.

Seeing totally unrelated crossovers between UB properties is so funny because now I can just contextualize everything as being nested crossovers within Magic.

I think I really dislike this design.
Having the random "WUBRG" activated ability that exists only for color identity combined with partner is both annoying and shoehorns leo as one of the partners always.
I would rather have seen "character select" have some additional rules for color identity.

I love banding. 100% agree it pushes on board defense to another level, but considering how much of magic (esp. commander) is resolved either outside of combat or though overwhelming combats I actually chalk that up as a good thing!

I love banding. 100% agree it pushes on board defense to another level, but considering how much of magic (esp. commander) is resolved either outside of combat or though overwhelming combats I actually chalk that up as a good thing!
And Trample SHOULD have counters! Flying has reach, its only fair.

Some less tactful UB hate recently but I think the best argument against it is this:
Not everyone will like every UB IP
I like FF, I don't care for Star Trek. So the more UB we have, the more misses people are going to feel
Spiderman has been the first set since I came back I didn't buy a full box
