Maybe Keir should demand the heads of major US news networks any time they imply Britain is on the brink of civil war or that we live under sharia law. Or does it not work both ways?

#R4Today giving Farage the first word on the BBC story just for him to suggest that millions should stop paying their license fee. Idiotic self own.

Imagine spending £450m in one transfer window and then saying “our squad is probably not as big as people think it is” to defend your run of losses

Suddenly the chance of me having a beer in my seat seems a big step closer. How do we keep pushing him down this path?
Jenrick casting 1980s British football hooliganism as something that was easily dealt with by police and not an era defining issue which we're still living with the consequences of today... He's genuinely the most unserious person in British politics rn

I was saying this recently after spending time with a family member who is just permanently glued to their phone.
Remember the FAST campaign for strokes? We need something similar for this and we needed it 3 years ago.

Last night I heard of another friend of a friend who has been lost to a rabbit hole of online propaganda. We need to start treating this as a serious public health concern.

Even today I would wager the majority of the UK thinks the BNP are bad guys. The fact we’ve slept walk to this point of policy parity without any real scrutiny or comparison is a huge indictment on journalistic and political scrutiny in this country. Add it to the skills shortage!
David is slightly unfair. There is a clear difference here.
Conservatives and Reform plan to forcibly expel large numbers of people who are legal, permanent residents of migrant origin. The BNP proposal is voluntary.

This below is from the 2005 BNP manifesto.
Spot the difference with current Tory and Reform policy.

There are (supposed Left) people on this app claiming Tommy Robinson is better than Starmer because “at least he’s honest about his views”

I have to admit I underestimated how much Elon buying Twitter would influence our politics - not because of its influence on ordinary people, which I predicted accurately as "significant but not extraordinary," but because I didn't realize how addicted all our journos and politicians are to Twitter

Elon Musk openly called for violence on our streets yesterday.
I hope politicians from all parties come together to condemn his deeply dangerous and irresponsible rhetoric.
Britain must stand united against this clear attempt to undermine our democracy.

Remember when anti-Brexit marches pulled these numbers *consistently* and absolutely nobody thought ‘hmm let’s maybe give these guys the keys to public discourse for the next few years’
Deeply disturbed to see today's 'Unite the Kingdom' march in London with 100,000+ attendees.
This was likely the largest far-right protest in British history and was led by Tommy Robinson and addressed by Elon Musk.
The far right are emboldened like never before. But, here's the good news... 🧵

get why she had to go but irksome she lost her job to something quite complex and, let's be honest, reasonably minor in the grand scheme of things, when shadow cabinet members get to merrily hang out with Eddie Swastika without any repercussions

My biggest gripe with this is the assertion that we “rebuilt” after the wars. I think, famously, we didn’t. We’re still relying on crumbling Victorian infrastructure
Rupert Lowe tweets at his anger that we are simply never allowed to ever mention that this country won the World Wars - nor England's 1966 World Cup. [How did we let those become unknown, untold stories, whose anniversaries just slip by - unnoticed, verboten - in politics. media & broader society?
