I honestly think 24 Hours in Police Custody is one of the best, most absorbing things on TV.

Someone do a comparison between BBC at £200/year and Netflix at £150/year

Surely one is much better value than the other

Music for 18 Musicians by Steve Reich in Gateshead next October. Think it's the first time this has been performed in the UK for a wee while. Will be my first time seeing it.

Put the blame at the door of clubs who charge insane prices then, not families who can't afford the official ones

Counterfeit football kits: What's the real cost?
Fake football kits can be as much as £70 cheaper than the real deal, but experts have raised concerns they could be harmful.

Everyone said to brace for terrible news in the budget and a disaster for the govt... uh, did it have terrible news? (genuine question, didn't look that bad to me)

I wish I didn’t have to share this. But the BBC has decided to censor my first Reith Lecture.

They deleted the line in which I describe Donald Trump as “the most openly corrupt president in American history.” /1

Amazon Prime delivery is slow and unreliable in the UK. Lately things arrive late or bashed pretty often.

How is he still fooling people? It was exactly the same old Trump. Gets cosy with the popular guy in the room, then attacks later as needed. This was not the start of a healthy or productive relationship.
The trump mamdamni thing proves that we are all NPCs in somebody's first D&D campaign. He went in there with high charisma, rolled a 20 and the inexperienced DM had no option but to change the antagonist's entire character

Hoping this is the start of some consistency for Newcastle. Great performance.

Eddington got a lot of things right imho, good movie
One thing "Eddington" got right is that "child sexual abuse" is a very easy thing to base a conspiracy theory on, because most of us know people who were abused as children, or were those kids. So it's easy to conclude there's some hidden structure, but the actual "conspiracy" is just rape culture.

Often I think UK political commentators are afraid that if they let up the gloom, they’ll lose their audience.

Yes there’s a lot of bad news about, but things were - and would be - a lot worse under the Tories. At least be thankful for that now and again.

I've been using chatGPT for a year or so and I'm not gonna lie, I find it useful in many ways.

But it's not intelligent. It's just not. All it does is transform what people have made.
