That one person can drag us into a war without consulting or even notifying Congress, or our allies, or fully explaining to the American people why this is necessary, is absolutely bonkers.

Reminder that Congress has the power to stop all of this. Where the hell are they? Hello?

Sen. Mitch McConnell privately indicated to Sen. Tim Kaine he would back the Virginia Democrat’s resolution to undo Trump’s Canada tariffs.

Kaine told reporters today that the former GOP leader told him he would back Kaine’s resolution, which will get a vote on the Senate floor Wednesday evening.
McConnell breaks with party to reject Trump's Canada tariffs
The former Senate Republican leader will likely deliver the deciding vote on a resolution to block a national emergency used to justify the new tariffs on Canadian imports.

Elon Musk went to Wisconsin where he said the "destiny of humanity" rested on the election. Tonight the voters agreed and rejected his and Trump's undemocratic vision for the country.

FANTASTIC NEWS: Susan Crawford has officially won her race for the Wisconsin Supreme Court, allowing liberals to maintain their narrow majority. This was a hugely embarrassing defeat for Elon Musk, who spent millions of dollars to oppose her.

Booker: Strom Thurmond’s record always kind of just really irked me. That the longest speech on our great Senate floor was from someone who was trying to stop people like me from being in the Senate. So to surpass that became more important to me.

Cory Booker has now given the longest Senate floor speech in American history. Strom Thurmond previously set the record in defense of segregation. A Black senator breaks it speaking out against a white supremacist.

Let this serve as a spark to all Democrats.

I'm not a programming guy but MSNBC and CNN should be airing this Cory Booker thing in the same way you take over programming if there's a no-hitter or a basketball player with 60 points in three quarters. It's a physical feat! Cut in for this kind of thing. Costs nothing, gooses ratings, good TV.

I just tuned into the Booker live feed and after 22 hours he's speaking rapidly, passionately, furiously, and completely coherently.

By the way, last week, in impromptu remarks, Trump could not remember the word "criminal" and had to say "people of crime."
