If the government wants economic growth it must bring essential industries into public ownership
Successive governments clobber households and small businesses by hiking interest rates to manage inflation, but don’t inconvenience corporations.

Disgraceful!

Just when you thought the private water bosses couldn't get any worse! They are enriching themselves with the bailout loan meant to stabilise the company.

We need to kick out these leeches for good! The ONLY solution is public ownership.

"‘Why don’t they stay in France?’

Most refugees head for a country where there is some link of language, family or community. North Africans stay in France because they have some French. Refugees from what were once UK colonies often have English as a second language."
What is so wrong with immigration anyway?
There is so much that is wrong in what is said about immigration. Is there any way to get to the truth?

New: The government has spent £400 million on staff costs for PIP appeals since 2013. But the real cost? The anguish, breakdowns, and worsening illness caused by a system built on disbelief. Disabled people shouldn’t have to fight for survival. #PIP #DisabilityJustice

This is a failure of democracy.

82% of the public want water back into public ownership, but we weren’t part of the decision.

Now we’re stuck bailing water companies out for decades of recklessness.

We need a new water system where everyone has a say.

I’ve got a very unpopular opinion; I think we should have mandatory voting like in Belgium.
Shocked at the number of people I have talked to who aren’t on the register or can’t be arsed to vote if they are on the register. Interestingly most have strong “political takes” 🙄

King Charles inherited £650m tax free, gets £125m a year tax free from the tax payer and has an estate worth £22bn that’s never taxed.

But he still needed a 45% pay rise.

Like if he needs a pay cut.

One company, Ecolog, received £38 million even though it never provided any services at all.

This needs shouting from the rooftops: During Covid, government created £700B. They have no idea where that money is now, is it coincidental that more Billionaires were created during that period than ever before?
But they want you to blame immigrants.

Each and every one of us with a platform has a responsibility to correct others on the truth about asylum seekers claiming benefits and free homes. They can’t. They receive just £49 a week or £9 if given food. Only if and when they get refugee status can they claim or get a job.

In France, car parks with space for 80 cars or more are required by law to install solar panels.

Those between 80 and 400 spaces have 5 years to comply; those with 400 or more have 3 years.

12 gigawatts per year with no land used, and cheaper electricity for the population, plus CO² reduction.
