The Wisconsin GOP passed a law that would have forced people to have paid off all court debt so they can regain their voting rights (you may remember that from the Florida fights).

Housing first has been an incredible success in terms of mental health and substance abuse to kill it in favor of tough love nonsense that doesn't work will destroy lives.

It's hard for me to think of something that would make me angrier than the voters in my city taking away my library privileges to keep their taxes low.
The city of Clyde Hill is officially exploring the idea of pulling out of the King County Library System, in order to maintain existing tax levels when they'll need to increase the city's levy in response to a budget crisis.

I don't know who needs to know this, but Pro Publica has an online thing that will format a letter to your US health insurance company to demand the records behind a claim denial. (which the insurance is then legally required to provide in most cases)
