sometimes stuff like that has to get left in due to time constraints though. it takes much less time to just wink and nod than to go inside and rebalance stuff, since that usually has knock on effects that need to be re-QA'd. if it's a choice between that and nothing at all, i'd rather have that

what i was trying to say is if there's jank stuff like that in there, the game should either start to counterplay it eventually and laugh at you, or accept it knowingly with a wink and a nod. the game should not be DELETED by it without any mention or acknowledgment, that's a bad thing imo

my personal argument is that the developer should work harder to ensure that it's not just *optimal* to not use any color, because it's kind of really sad when you don't have any opportunities to use really fun stuff that they put work into

in the NST remake of crash bandicoot 3 in the gladiator arena boss fight, there's a safe spot in the corner of the arena where you can't be hit at all but if you stand there long enough the audience throws literal cheese at you it's awesome

*also idk if this is known but i've actually done all of this shit in multiple different engines. Unity, GameMaker, even raw lua and raw C++, i can do it, the logic is very transferrable

rotating auto mobiles turned out so fucking funny but figuring out all the shit to make 00 Function Like At All was a ton of work, imo it was worth because a lot of that tech ended up getting reused many times throughout the whole game LMAO
