*also idk if this is known but i've actually done all of this shit in multiple different engines. Unity, GameMaker, even raw lua and raw C++, i can do it, the logic is very transferrable

go hire taro, he did the april fools events for 2023 and 2025 for vivid/stasis as well as a ton of other small things in the game and they all turned out great even if i made him hate gamemaker in the process

go hire taro, he did the april fools events for 2023 and 2025 for vivid/stasis as well as a ton of other small things in the game and they all turned out great even if i made him hate gamemaker in the process
rotating auto mobiles turned out so fucking funny but figuring out all the shit to make 00 Function Like At All was a ton of work, imo it was worth because a lot of that tech ended up getting reused many times throughout the whole game LMAO

*it goes without saying, but if your game is on steam or most other platforms (and not freeware, but it's preferable even if it's freeware), you have to have permission to use the assets we are using (e.g. song, any graphics not made by me)

funny enough i think this actually predates altarena, the vision i had for that was a more traditional airdashy anime fighter but with a "fields" system that functioned kinda like how splatoon's ink ended up, but altarena predates splatoon too
