It is "telling" that the only #Protest song we have is from a country "music" star. Where are the rappers, where are the rock bands? Any punks out there?

Cat got "kendrick's" tongue?

Who are the popular "rock bands" rite now?

Zach "gets it"

Kristi Noem and other Trump officials have condemned a snippet of an untitled Zach Bryan song where he sings, “ICE is going to come bust down your door.” He continues, “Got some bad news. Thе fading of the red, white and blue.” In a post on Tuesday, Bryan said his lyrics had been “misconstrued.”

And so by #Tax I of course mean a tariff
taumuyi.bsky.social
Those manufacturing jobs were going away eventually just as all of the Trump tariff Bull Shitte will not bring them back. There were 2 problems.
1. Those who benefit from trade need to compensate those who lose from trade.
2. Job loss needs to be more gradual.

And so yes a #Tax will accomplish both

Basically this was the entire logic fo neoliberalism and globalization - yes lots of job destruction, but prices falling on all kinds of goods and new jobs in new areas. It was taken as gospel that all of it was a net benefit, but that's a bit harder argument to make these days.

Does an extremely high or low BMI polygenic score influence weight loss after a diet intervention?

GENEROOS is a 6-month randomized diet vs. control trial testing if genetic predisposition to higher BMI affects weight loss in overweight adults

We are living in a democracy and goal for the #Democrats is to #Win it really is that #simple

If you think we can "win" through timid actions and poll-watching well meybe it is time we offer some #competition through the #Primary system

This isn't "Tyranny" or even "fascism". It is rampant lawlessness by the Federal government because the 6 right-wing "justices" on "supreme court" are allowing it.

MSM media won't say it but 6 right-wing "justices" on "supreme court" have completely failed.

Watching so many people in high places go through the motions of polling and median-voter whispering can make you feel like you're in Bodysnatchers. It's worth a reminder that the typical experience of tyranny is...basically normal life. Which means we have to will ourselves to fight harder.
The Median Experience Of Tyranny
If the politics of tyranny were self-discrediting, we wouldn't need mantras like "never again."

Prices go down during a Depression
chrislhayes.bsky.social
I was working an entire essay on this very notion this summer and this is reminding me I should pick it back up. TL;DR - every price is someone else's income and whether prices going down on something is "good" depends a whole lot on what you do for a living.

ANDREESSEN: Even if AI ends up destroying all the jobs, “the result would be hyper-deflation of prices, which is the thing that people miss. .. Things that today cost a lot of money will all of a sudden be cheap or free.”

“XAI’s financing would be split between about $7.5 billion of equity and as much as $12.5bn of debt, the people said, and structured via a special purpose vehicle. The SPV will be used to buy Nvidia processors, and Musk’s artificial intelligence startup would then rent the chips out for five years”
