Los Angeles.
Here to resist corruption, tyranny, the unqualified, the incompetent, liars, kings and billionaires.
The Bluesky platform has grown up and is populated with caring, informed, intelligent adults. I am more grateful and appreciative of this every day, because I see no equivalents or alternatives in social media.

conservatism was never just a different political opinion, it was always racism, sexism, and a need to control others

It's not that I want a murderer to walk free in America.
It's that I don't want a president to be the only one who's above the law.
Maybe if ordinary criminals start getting away with it, Congress will close the loopholes on the worst offenders.
Pardoned criminals too.

Could Luigi Mangione Walk Free?
Luigi Mangione's status as a folk hero could influence the verdict more than any evidence in the case, writes Jed Rubenfeld.

Curious about what in the self-loathing is going on with Usha Vance to be married to a man who so openly seems to resent that she isn’t white. She’s where she wants to be but I sure want to know what pathology allows that.

For a GOP president—after the Iraq War—to say outright that invading Venezuela is all about oil is wild. But it is. It’s also about corruption, power, graft, and land. And we should take him at his word.

I know this is out there, but I will live and die on the hill of Barry Sonnenfeld’s “Wild Wild West” with Will Smith being my only reservation. Kevin Kline and Kenneth Branagh, in particular, more than make up for Smith.Branagh’s outrageous southern-fried Dr. Loveless takes this movie over the moon.

It’s possible to tell someone they are in too steep of a decline to keep being president! America just did that last year!!

We're living through an abomination of government, society and ethics that neither Republicans nor Democrats are fully able to call out. It remains to ordinary citizens like us to expose the corruption, perversion and horror of our time.

i have said this before but if you are actually interested in influencing people beyond a narrow circle of too-online journalists you will be making direct to camera videos on tiktok, instagram and youtube. if you primarily post on text-based social media then you're just dicking around.

If there is a single sentence that defines the Trump presidency, it’s this:

“He says the things I’m thinking.”

That should terrify us.

Because what it reveals is not Trump’s darkness, but America’s. Tens of millions of white Americans, men and women alike,

The US military acting like Somali pirates as ICE torment innocent Somali-Americans is a layer of irony so thick a nuclear warhead couldn't penetrate it.

While the right lose their goddamn minds about a lone wolf doing something horrendous in DC today, let’s not forget that last week in the White House they all gushed over a genocidal, journalist murdering tyrant whose country financed 9/11.

Dems backed Trump into a corner where he’s advocating for starving Americans and hemorrhaging support. If they vote to let him off the hook in exchange for nothing it’s a cataclysmic failure. I know people are in pain but insulating Republicans from political consequences is not the answer.

Cheney is dead and can't read Bluesky but the living remembering him as a war criminal can. Stop scolding people for prioritizing Cheney's victims over a shitty old man who bought two transplant hearts instead of letting them go to people who WOULDN'T commit war crimes.

You starve children and old people to build a golden ballroom? That’s stuff that ogres from fairy tales would do.

Fuck you and your MAGA monsters.

Refusing to feed people while building a massive ballroom is a fast track to eat the rich. No pun intended.
