After buying it for $18.8 billion, Walgreens' new private equity owner has eliminated paid holidays for all hourly workers on Christmas and New Year's.

Last year, Walgreens had a CEO-to-Worker pay gap of 410 to 1.

Corporate greed that would make even Scrooge blush.

WHO GIVES A DAMN?

It’s a public service, right there in the name. It exists as a public good for all the people in this country. It’s not supposed to turn a profit, you dolts.

Go audit the Pentagon and see what kind of return on investment we’re getting there.

They all have lucrative government contracts — and they're all donors to Trump's $400M ballroom.

Your Friday reminder that trickle-down economics is a cruel hoax.

Cruel because it's used by the super-rich to avoid paying their fair share of taxes.

And a hoax because nothing has ever trickled down.

Almost no new jobs have been added since April and 710,000 more people are unemployed now compared to a year ago.

Meanwhile consumer prices are skyrocketing thanks to Trump's tariffs.

Does this sound like an "A+++++" economy to you?

Poverty is a policy choice. Concentrated wealth is a policy choice. Inequality is a policy choice. None of it is natural or inevitable. Remember: We have the power to build a system that serves the many, not the powerful few.

The U.S. has conducted 19 strikes on alleged drug-carrying boats, killing at least 76 people.

Remember: no judge or jury has found these boats were trafficking drugs. We're simply taking Trump's word for it.

He’s unilaterally acting as judge, jury, and executioner.

This is a danger to us all.

Medicare for All would save $450B a year.

Every dollar spent on food stamps generates $1.50-$1.80 in economic activity.

Each dollar going to low-wage workers adds $1.20 to the economy overall.

It’s not about what this country can or can’t afford.

It’s about priorities.

Like millionaires can already afford to live wherever they want. If they actually only cared about where they pay the lowest taxes they'd already live there. Taxing the. won't impact their lifestyle at all but will positively impact everyone elses.

#BBsky I've thought about it a little and Big Brother really needs to add a competition that's based on cleaning a bathroom.

Like it checks all the boxes
1. Realistically anyone can win it
2. It has that gross out factor they seem to enjoy
3. It caters towards those who take care of the house

DO NOT CLICK THE LINK.

Bluesky would NEVER send a DM like this and make you scared. This would come through email and would have a more professional email than this.

Stay safe!
