So last night I migrated @gregpak.net from Bluesky to Blacksky's myatproto.social server for non-Black users! A few thoughts on the process for anyone thinking about this...

whew. that took a while! but it looks like i'm done! all blobbed up in blobtown!

I hear and see your concerns. Over the weekend, a couple users hosted on Blacksky's PDS were banned from the Bluesky app and thus the Bluesky API servers. This was a weakness of our system I've been aware of and hoped we had more time to address before any kind of public incident. 1/11

tektite does support authenticating by did.

@bluelotus4u.bsky.social - i have your did as did:plc:p5hkazhs3gzy6p7bm7w7dkix - you could try that and your password when you try again.

if this doesn't work - let me know and we'll reset your account.

app.wafrn.net is another option that is somehow native to both activitypub and atproto and they seem to have a good time.

pdsmoover.com by @baileytownsend.dev , @tektite.cc, and atpairport.com by @knotbin.com are PDS migration tools and the devs for each are very helpful

Let me get this straight: Link, a Black user, got banned for calling out the Bluesky CEO for following a racist. That’s not a good look, especially given Bluesky’s historical treatment of Black users here on bluesky.
