My advice to people, as it has been since the USENET days, is simply this: Everything that can be made public on the Internet one day will be made public. Say what you want and what you feel is necessary, and remember it will be found.

"Only post comments that you'd feel comfortable reading aloud in a courtroom" is a recent meme I read and a good policy in general.

Reading contracts isn't the most awe-inspiring part of this work, but it is one of the most important. Please go read this thread up and down and remember that this stuff all matters, whether we're talking individual haiku or brick-sized doorstoppers.

Get this clear: part of your job is to look out for your and your art’s best interests. And you have every right to expect fair compensation and professional conduct. If it’s not immediately there, then by God demand it. 3/5

I'm a little late in posting this, but I had to dust and disinfect my promotional drum before I started the beat.

New poem today at @bfbzine.bsky.social! "Citation may be required" is blank verse, and about A.I., but don't let either of those scare you.

They may be an experiential food, where it’s less about the taste and more about the act; and they’re flavored at least in part by nostalgia.

(Can take or leave them, myself.)

There's a spider outside the bathroom window this morning, working on a web in the fog. It's an architectural marvel, and large enough to catch a bear. I don't know what they're procrastinating on doing, but it's working wonders.

What's better than one new issue of Worlds of Possibility? That would be *two* new issues. Check them out! (I'm in the one on the right, but this isn't Left Twix v. Right Twix -- they both look amazing.)

She creased our second-hand Space-Time before cramming it into our rickety nightstand, next to the aspirin. It didn't fit there, but she didn't listen.

Context: my cousin convinced my sister that if she watched this movie more than 200 times in a single week, the ending would change.

Reader, it did not.

Dreams last night about tornadoes ripping through and narrowly missing the house. Could feel the ground shuddering and smell grass and sod falling back off the roof.

But I’m not sure why Dream Me decided that “in an open doorway in the center of the house” was a good place to take cover. 🤷‍♂️

Be careful where you wander and "Don’t follow the lights" in a haunting new poem by @the-lettersea.com.

The random dance of twee lights seen through trees enticing those who see them sideways; it’s just a moment, just a quick look, just a peek against the thundering rush of better judgment, pushed aside by need.

Digital illustration of studio Ghibli Kodama spirits holding a flag: “If you claim to love Studio Ghibli but use the ChatGPT Ghibli image generator, then no.
You don’t love Studio Ghibli.
Even further, you fundamentally do not understand or respect Miyazaki and his art.”
