Loved this book! This is one of my fave reads of the year! 💖 #BookSky
This book made me feel cloaked in childlike wonder, it made me miss my sister, and it made me say "I've never read anything like this" over and over.
MAD SISTERS OF ESI is one of The Washington Post’s 10 best SFF novels of 2025. In the sheer amount of what gets published each year and what gets lost, this feels like a small, precious miracle ❤️

I finally started 107 Days by Kamala Harris. The book opens with this quote:

The amount of energy necessary to refute bullshit is an order of magnitude bigger than to produce it. —Alberto Brandolini.

Damn, that's where we're starting? 🤭 Let's go then. #booksky

lol people are mad about this but the internet alone has shown how much society hates women, ESPECIALLY women of color.

This isn’t Michelle Obama saying women aren’t qualified to be president. It’s Michelle Obama saying that people don’t WANT a woman president.
cnn.com CNN @cnn.com · Nov 15
Former first lady Michelle Obama said America is "not ready for a woman" president during a conversation at her New York book event. https://cnn.it/43ApuKZ

I'm about 3/4 through Katabasis, and I've spent most of the book going "WTF Alice!?" #booksky

Picked up a library hold today: Terry McMillan's It Was the Way She Said It. It will be the first book I've read by her. Not from lack of trying. 👇🏾 #booksky

Finished this, I loved it! This story was fast pace & very intense.
It vaguely reminded me of Kindred mixed with Jujutsu Kaisen 🤔. If you're a fan of those I think you'd really like this. I still have questions regarding the story but in a fun 'omg what happens next' type way! #BlackBookSky
THIS BOOK! 👀 Oh I'm hooked! #BlackBookSky

This is so dope.
I love Rebecca DOWN. Known as Dollar Tree Dinners.

Her “Meal in a Bag” is meant to provide ppl with a complete meal that is $8 or less, is shelf stable, & can be made without access to a full kitchen. I love this as a direct aid option. Good for neighbors & elders who can’t/wont go to a pantry.

Dropped off my CA ballot at the dropbox at my local library and picked up my next read, which I'd been on the waitlist for for so many months. Today was a good day.

From Legendary Frybread Drive-In:

"Jason poured the curdled blue corn into a bowl...He added two parts of water to one part ground blue corn. He poured everything into the pot and turned on the stove. Hers came out smooth and velvety while his clumped up."

I already know this post might get me in trouble. This book has gotten so much hype, especially since the movie rights have been purchased.

But in my opinion, the book is mediocre at best. #booksky

There's so much to unpack about Dominion by Addie E. Citchens. I want to write a blog post, but we'll see how we go. But I can add this about the ending. #booksky

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The book is an entertaining read about witches taking sides during WWII. If you're into the supernatural and okay with the dark aspects that come it, this book may be for you.
