I am currently fascinated by the Carboniferous, lignin and the evolution and periods around it.

Short version. Coal and oil were made only over a couple of hundred million years until microbes evolved to break down recently evolved wood / bark.

My lad says we have burnt up to 1/3, maybe more..

I know this is obvious when you think about it but we don’t think about it enough: fascists have to cow & persecute decent journalists to prevent them from reporting exactly what they, the fascists, are doing.
