The CA lemon law Atty’s have filed their motion to dismiss Ford’s Rico action.

Interesting to me: signed by @nealkatyal.bsky.social (among others.)

New suit by Uber - they are doing the RICO against two fairly well known PI firms in CA - DTLA Law and Jacob Emrani. Interestingly, lead counsel is former us atty Tara McGrath, who just joined Perkins Coie

One thing I like about most Brit shows and movies is the characters’ residences seem relatively legit.
But seriously how does Clark Kent afford that apartment?

Interesting to me 4a trial result. Kansas can’t use the “pervasively regulated industry” warrant exception to search a dog trainer’s abode/business under a state regulatory scheme.

The trial came after a 10CA reversal of dismissal.

Is it better to end birthright citizenship before or after Juneteenth?
- the musings of S. Alito, probably.
NEW: Friday will also be a #SCOTUS opinion day, along with the previously announced one on Wednesday.

Court closed Thursday for Juneteenth.

Judge Miller: Suppose no violence, no opposition. Calm in LA. Pres says I've determined target for number of removals. With number of ICE officers I can fund, can't hit target. Thus, unable to execute laws. Must call up NG. Would that meet defn of "unable to execute."

The White House has already previewed their legal argument in the military deployment at the border context; they argue it's not a violation of the Posse Comitatus Act because the troops are not arresting the person, merely temporarily detaining them for local law enforcement to arrive.

Almost trucked Gina Davis at a park. My son distracted me and I didn’t see her leading to a thankfully minor run in.

Mind you, she’s a 6 footer - a bit hard to miss.

She was as pleasant as can be, and chortled at my parenting fail.
Right folks. Feeling rather down at the moment so bringing back an oldie
