They have really lost their way. Or didn’t know where to start in the first place.

The rot started under Blair with tuition fees then Tory removal of bursaries. Many nurses & midwives were mature students with families. Who wants to saddle their family with debt?

Big disaster.

Lyme, ME/CFS, endometriosis, long COVID, coeliac disease, adenomyosis, fibromyalgia & all the other conditions where there's actually nothing wrong with us, but we just enjoy pretending to be ill. For fuck's sake. It's like we've regressed to the 1960s when my mum was accused of being a malingerer.
themorganic.bsky.social
And, as often is the case, it’s women who are ignored and issues labelled ‘psychological’ - because male bodies are still considered the ‘standard’ human body.

Potential ‘converts’ could also be disaffected former ‘moderate’ Labour voters.

I’m reading loud and clear from this that Lib Dem’s are actually centre-slightly-right, not centre-slightly-left. It’s no wonder Greens are hoovering up so many new members from Labour instead.

Interesting times.

My point was to imply that a party actively recruiting Conservatives is not really very progressive but more of the same. That is not attracting me in the slightest.

Yes, it is my choice who I vote for and I‘m afraid I won’t be switching to Lib Dems, lovely though I know many members are.
themorganic.bsky.social
People can vote for who they like.

But I won’t be voting Lib Dem now.
themorganic.bsky.social
Well, in theory I’m one of those. I’m obviously too ‘left leaning’ to be worthy of winning over.
themorganic.bsky.social
The fact that Lib Dem’s are actively recruiting support from those whose ethos does not chime with mine.

Evidently it’s not the party for me.

Tory Badenoch warning that large employers are leaving the country.

Well, maybe that’s a good opportunity for smaller, new home-grown businesses to start up.

Several of my family members already freelance, as established companies are failing & the environment does not suit their way of being.
themorganic.bsky.social
Oh god, Badenoch is asserting that thousands of immigrants will flock here because they don’t have our standard of living.

No mention of war & climate impacts being drivers, or thoughts on how to help.

It’s all ‘me me me’ with Conservatives, isn’t it?

Please don’t use the word ‘suffer’. It’s not a painful disease. It’s a difference in processing and thinking, which has innumerable benefits.

Naga Munchetty will discuss #dyslexia on her @bbc5live.bsky.social show shortly.

This is a subject close to my heart & my family experience. Dyslexics favour visual thinking over language & have amazing skills that most don’t appreciate.

We need neurodiversity. Let’s start valuing & supporting it.

Why do BBC channels, news and presenters not post on BlueSky?

Even the few who have accounts aren’t using them. If they’re relying on the ‘dark channel’ they’re really not getting a balanced view of the public‘s experiences.

I feel excluded from contributing to something I pay a licence fee for.

The plural is more accurately descriptive currently! 😆

Thanks.😊

It certainly comes to something when others are seemingly implicitly campaigning to keep bad things!

Do you know who produced this graphic?

Emma, a serial tree sponsor in West Harrow, has been hard at work, transforming her street from a grey concrete jungle to a tree-lined haven 🌲🌳

Sometimes one person can make a big difference. Serial tree sponsor Emma is almost singlehandedly regreening her street in West Harrow

Oh dear. I’m afraid that’s a prospect that would drive me away from Lib Dems as an alternative.

ME/CFS is a devastating condition that has long been denied, dismissed, psychologised and underdiagnosed. Research is at last starting to catch up with it, with glimmers of hope for those who have been left untreated for so long.

Interesting, Tory rep on @bbc5live.bsky.social referred to having to use ‘nationalised’ policies to support the U.K. during Covid pandemic and then ‘get back to Conservative’ ethos afterwards.

That’s basically admitting conservatism doesn’t work in an emergency. What use are they?

They’re toast 😬

Horrible woman.

These people know the cost of everything & the value of nothing.
