I don’t want to replace the boring part of my job, because the boring part is important. I could have AI write me an outline, a step I hate doing, but in doing that step I always find mistakes to fix or jokes to make. I come out the other side a better writer.

I suspect that part of why AI is so popular among a certain class of people is that most white collar jobs are about 5% real work and 95% busywork to justify the job’s existence. If you know the memo is a waste of everyone’s time including your own then why not have computer write it
