Absolutely! I was thinking th same. Both Ian Flemming and also the produces of the movies (especially the earlier ones) were good observers. And... I don't rule it out at all that these amateur actors have seen some 007 movies!

The CNN host is just another goon, there was no technical issue for Miller's freezing, hee kept moving like a dry branch in the wind after he realized that he had said someting he wanted to keep for himself.
It's visible in the tiny window inside the video below, and the host must have seen it too.
