Canadian mom of 2, stepmom of 4. Socially awkward, non-expert parent…very bossy. Likes plants more than people.

Setting boundaries does not equal weakness. Boundaries are strength, and should be maintained like a border. Figure out where your own borders are - and defend them. How folks feel about your boundaries is a them problem, not a you problem. Boundaries are allowed, necessary, and healing.

Pierre Poilievre held the same seat for 20 years and then after becoming opposition leader and everyone got to see the real Poilievre he lost that seat and now he’s trying to save himself by running in a riding that’d eat a egg salad sandwich off a hot car dashboard if it had a CPC logo on it.

Dear Canada:

That asshole in the WH hasn’t stopped calling you the 51st state because he has given up his expansionists ambitions.

He stopped saying it because Poilievre begged him to chill during the election.

If you want Canada to stay Canadian, vote Liberal. You can deal with policy differences

If I hear about the “lost Liberal decade” one more time I might scream. Like a Conservative decade coinciding with a pandemic would have been the Canadian Golden Age? Ridiculous. Are our memories so short that we have already forgotten the Harper Horrors? Choose well, Canada.

Today was a professional development day for the teachers. Since there was no school, we adventured. I’m so grateful to live in this beautiful place. Let’s not screw it up on April 28th, Canada!

Mess with us at your peril.

I don’t believe in blind patriotism, but I DO believe in this country, its people, and the importance of coast-to-coast, true north community. I needed this video. Strong hearts and elbows up, Canada!

If you’re a Canadian gardener (or aspiring gardener), there are several incredible, small Canadian farms that produce heirloom seeds. I buy my seeds online directly from these farms instead of buying from big stores and garden centres. Lots of amazing options I encourage you to look into!

My friend and her chickens often give me free eggs. But to me, they aren’t just eggs. They represent kindness and the way forward - community, connection, looking out for each other, and sharing resources. Whatever that looks like to you, do more of it. We need each other. Community MATTERS.
