If I am reading this article correctly, if you’re a YouTube star you probably should not post videos of your Montana-no sales tax-reg. Ferrari if those videos suggest the car may be housed at your TN home (7-10% sales tax) w/out at least removing the plates.

When prices rise because *demand* is hot, wages usually follow. When prices rise because tariffs raise costs -- a *supply* shock -- there’s no reason paychecks catch up. That’s why tariff inflation hurts a whole heckuva lot more. It's a permanent reduction in living standards.

Someone should ask the suddenly outspoken Reagan Foundation if the ad was “AI or something.”
Trump: "They cheated on a commercial. Ronald Reagan loved tariffs and they said he didn't. And I guess it was AI or something. They cheated badly. Canada got caught cheating on a commercial. Can you believe it?"

The mortgage fraud claim against Lisa Cook is false, per documents obtained by Reuters.

Bill Pulte's accusation, the sole pretext Trump used to fire her from the Fed, was that she claimed two homes as primary residence.

These docs show she did not.

I may be oversensitive, but this seems troubling. And you don't have to think too hard to see an economic angle here, too.
This is the official spokesperson for the White House, stating that the President hopes to deploy the United States military to occupy every city controlled by the political party that opposes him. Explicitly.
Leavitt: "These are the bad guys that we are picking up in Washington DC every day. The president would love to do this in every Democrat-run city across the country."

BOOM. The federal appeals court rules Trump's tariffs illegal, because they are.

There's no national emergency, and so the power to tariff a country rests with Congress.

Trump admin has lost at every stage of the process, but stay tuned for the Supremes to chime in.

If non-farm payrolls data were severely distorted, Wall Street wouldn't react to them. But in fact, markets respond to them more than any other indicator. So either EJ Antoni is smarter than all of Wall Street, or he's wrong.

All data are imperfect. Wall St believes these are the least imperfect.

Firing the BLS Commissioner — the wonk in charge of the statisticians who track economic reality — is an authoritarian four alarm fire.

It will also backfire: You can't bend economic reality, but you can break the trust of markets. And biased data yields worse policy.
