Young woman's car run into/totaled. You *know* whatever insurance the driver had won't cover *replacing* the car, only their determined "value" of the car. Any combo ppl x $$ = $2000 will at least get her a down payment on replacement.

I entirely concur. Anne has a spareness and delicacy that are truly unusual. Her stories amuse, delight and sometimes deeply move the reader. She speaks of the details of country life, and at the same time she touches on themes that we live with now. She is unique, and deserves our support.
