I’m glad he stopped messing around and just said it. There is no other way to describe what the House Republicans are doing. By refusing to allow the Epstein Files to be released, they’re protecting a dead pedophile and his living accomplices.

This administration is flooding the zone so furiously that people have largely lost track of the lethal attacks on boats in the Caribbean, the gov’t shutdown, the economy, failed release of the Epstein files & so much else. It’s a tactic of would-be strongmen.

2. Why can’t we afford to not fuck millions of people over with expiring insurance subsidies?

Of course nobody could afford that level of increase with a monthly bill. Especially not with the prices for everything else getting jacked up because of inflation driven by the tariffs.

And so they’ll probably become uninsured.

For that 60 year-old couple living in Fort Walton, FL, the CHEAPEST ACA insurance, the bronze plan, their premium will go up from $119 a month now to $1,655 a month in January. More than a tenfold increase.

In the middle of GOP-voting Trump Country.

A married couple who are 60 years old, earning $90,000 a year and living in Fort Walton with no kids in the house will see their silver plan premium go from $638 a month to $2,184 a month. In January. Three months from now. Unless Republicans extend the ACA subsidies.
