I help people improve their mental health and wellbeing. My wellbeing website is full of things that help you feel better.

It’s self-help, different. What I do is sure to surprise you.
The Wellbeing Website is going to be quiet for a while. I’m not going anywhere, just working on some new things and will be back soon. It will be great to connect again.

I've updated my guide to the Kindle range to include the new models they've just released. Is there anything here for you?

If you’re not feeling good. If something has happened and you need to bounce back, there are three important steps you can consider. I’ll explain them in this thread.

This is how we used to advertise alcohol. In future, will we look back and see we made the same mistake with social media?

(To be very clear, this is a historical advert that does not reflect modern medical advice)

A close look at how we can be influenced, by force, fear or invitation.

I think this is so important. The pressure, threats and attempts to mislead others are clearly damaging people’s mental health and wellbeing, both online and in the real world.

“A man should forget his anger before he goes to sleep” - Mahatma Gandhi

That sleepless night won’t have any effect on the person or thing you’re mad at. It will have an effect on you though.

A book that really changed things for me was Autopilot, by Andrew Smart. He explains how doing nothing, like simply watching clouds, helps the mind join the dots behind the scenes. Gives us more chance of suddenly getting a great idea.

Keep those positive memories close. Remind yourself of the good times. Then notice how you feel afterwards.

Always make time for mediation. Just focus on how you’ll feel afterwards.

Things I’ve found and what’s on my radar:

Pondering something that came to me. We’re all fighting over reality. Expect some content on that soon.

Really enjoyed listing to Bernie Sanders on the Joe Rogan Experience. This is how political discussion should be done.

Just take a take a second to think about the story you tell yourself. Then think about how you could change it.

“Focus is about saying no” - Steve jobs

This is an Interesting one. Saying no doesn’t have to be a bad thing. It's about doing what it takes to focus on what’s important.

Avoiding distractions to get things done. Protecting your time.

I think it helps to be polite, firm and focussed.

You can’t wake someone pretending to sleep. That’s something I heard this week that really got me thinking.

Think of a TV show you love. Just sit down and catch up with a few episodes. Notice how you feel afterwards.
