Found this little guy while cleaning our basement. He's in decent shape considering his tag is dated 1997.

A plush toy of Shingo from King of Fighters, like one you'd get from a UFO catcher. His white shoes are a little faded, and he has some brown vinyl pieces on him that fell off of another toy. The toy is old-fashioned but very cute.

(The IWGP Heavyweight belt would be at 86 champions right now if they hadn't decided to erase the entire lineage of the belt for no reason, assuming that the booking would've otherwise remained the same. But the new one is at 13 now.)

Anyway, whoever wins the belt from Douki will be the 100th IWGP Junior Heavyweight champion, which is pretty cool and a fun thing that can happen when you don't randomly erase the lineage of your belts. I've gotta assume that will happen at the Dome, but I wonder who it'll be?

It's even more remarkable considering Desperado first won the IWGP Junior Heavyweight belt in 2021, and that was the first time he won a singles title in his entire career.

With his loss to Douki, Desperado has tied Liger's defense record for the IWGP Junior Heavyweight belt, at 8 successful defenses. That's a pretty amazing feat for a guy who was considered "not good enough" to tag with Hiromu for Liger's retirement match in 2020.
