Apple tried to copy Windows with its new Liquid Glass UI, but it failed miserably.

"All I see is a sorry imitation of Windows Vista's Aero Glass".

Apple tries to copy Windows Vista's Aero Glass with its new Liquid Glass, but fails miserably
I watched Apple unveil its new Liquid Glass design language for its software platform, but I can't stop thinking about how much of a bad copy it is of Microsoft's Aero Glass from 2006.

#LiquidGlass in the first #Apple Developer Beta is rough. It looks like something straight out of Windows Vista, and not in a nostalgic way. Major design miss. #ios #macos

We were mid recording of this week’s episode of @strictscrutiny.bsky.social when this Wilkinson opinion dropped - you really hear him talking to not only the executive branch, but also his fellow conservatives on SCOTUS
Whew, this conclusion from the Fourth Circuit:

"We yet cling to the hope that it is not naïve to believe our good brethren in the Executive Branch perceive the rule of law as vital to the American ethos."

If the U.S. government is going to take the position that, once removed from the United States, folks can’t be brought back, then it sure seems to me that federal courts should be reflexively and categorically barring *all* removals until they’re 100 percent certain that the removals are lawful.

Just a reminder that, whatever any court says, the Trump administration can surely command the return of this guy with one simple phone call.

That they haven’t done so remains an outrage.
NEW: The Supreme Court directs the Trump administration to "facilitate" the return of Kilmar Abrego Garcia from a prison in El Salvador, where he was sent due to an "administrative error." It also somewhat narrows the district court's order.

No noted dissents.

They are snatching people off the street and sending them away to brutal prisons in foreign lands with zero due process - and they won't even bring them back when they realize a mistake was made.

That's frightening stuff for any American who actually loves their country.

If judicial review *must* be available, why isn't Trump being ordered to return everyone sent to El Salvador who was deprived of this right?

Every American ought to be FURIOUS at this decision.
#BREAKING: 5-4 Court, with Barrett joining the three Dem. appointees in dissent *vacates* Chief Judge Boasberg’s temporary restraining orders in the Alien Enemy Act cases. Judicial review must be available, Court holds, but has to come through habeas petitions:

#SCOTUS just greenlit the government to send immigrants to a foreign-run prison. This isn’t justice.

Justice Jackson said it best: “This fly-by-night approach… is not only misguided. It is also dangerous.”

We should all be alarmed.
