Manchester Jewish Museum opened in 1984, but is housed in a Grade II listed 1874 (former) Spanish and Portuguese synagogue in Cheetham Hill, which has been beautifully restored as part of the development of the museum.

also energy costs have skyrocketed, its one of the reasons lots of smaller places are reducing opening hours to just Thursday/Friday/Saturday just turning the kitchen on is becoming cost ineffective if you're not seating every table

We are in the foothills of a solar-wind-battery civilisation. This is our best chance of avoiding catastrophe. But it threatens the profits of fossil fuel companies & nations - so these are pouring money into right-wing populism to stop the transition. This seems to me the biggest story in politics.

You don’t actually have to both sides this. The Jewish community in the UK is not the Israeli government. You can just condemn the murder of two British Jews killed in their place of worship and you don’t have to say a single other thing.
