Nazi’s sent gay men to ‘the camps’ who were identified with a pink triangle. After the war, most were imprisoned because being gay was still a felony, some until 1994.
The symbol later was that of liberation. Here my wife & I at Pink Triangle park in Castro, filled w/ pink quartz. More in comments.
